Catherine Twomey is an artist living in the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. Her work is inspired by the natural world, including animals and in particular, horses. Her distinctive expressive style emphasizes aesthetics, drawing viewers into abstract worlds of peace and beauty. She is inspired by the atmosphere of distant views; by the overwhelming detail in nature; and by what unimaginable power lies below our feet.
