The route from Palm Springs, CA to LA is through a narrow pass. The tall San Jacinto mountains with Big Bear Lake on the other side frame the narrow pass, causing strong wind currents that rise up often in the valley. I was captivated by these forces of nature, which led to this semi-abstract oil depicting the winds, the mountains and the sky. The painting is professionally framed in a solid wood, black plein air frame.
