These lake paintings have, somehow, become a series. They're beginning to sell, so I know they're resonating the way that light, those trees, did with me. Every morning I walk the dog along this small yet beautiful lake. This early morning, the light fell on the opposite shore, drenching the autumn leaves in a brilliant glow. It was so interesting to see the variety of colors both in the trees on the hillside and in their reflections. The way the sun struck the white boat house was demanding to be painting. This is oil on canvas, 8 X 10" - perfect for an intimate place needing a reminder of this reflective time of year.
